The last time I saw hollyhollyoxenfree

was yesterday! We had tea together—a blend with the evocative name of “Moon Pie”—down in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

It was tremendous fun, talking art, friends, blogs, and NYC apartment woes! She gave me some insight into tenants’ legal rights, which will come in handy!

Looking forward to the next time!

The last time I saw Faustus

I waved “bye” to him down in Decatur, Georgia, after a satisfying teatime spent talking, talking with him and SaraSA at a local cafe. Faustus came across in person exactly as he does online – as a sweet, gentle, calm personality. Someone who thinks before he speaks. He is as thoughtful in real life as he is online!

If you’re ever in NYC Faustus, definitely drop me a line!

A story about SaraSA

SaraSA and Faustus and I met up W-A-Y back over Thanksgiving wknd. (Yeah, I’m notorious for waiting ages to write entries in the 43people section!)

She is just simply AWEsome. Bright, friendly, full of laughter and stories, the positive energy just flows from her. And, did ya know? She is a writer too!

SaraSA, i enjoyed meeting up with you, and hope you’ll stay in touch!

Why I want to meet bookish

Erudite, witty, kind. Always interesting. Quite possibly worth visiting NYC for. And coming from me (who is always overwhelmed by NYC) that is high praise indeed.

A story about me

I am dragging myself out the door right now, to go see a friend, whom I shall proceed to drag out his door too, because sometimes one just needs to push oneself to do something out rather than in.

A question I have about bookish

How is life? For you, how is life? How do you enjoy life?

And what does this have to do with the price of beans on the agricultural exchange?

A story about bookish

If you’ve read her posts and you think she’s kind and sweet, wait to see her in person… [pause to build up suspense]... she’s that, and much more. She’s smart, friendly, witty, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, and she makes people feel comfortable and in peace around her.

I’m grateful she took some time out of her busy schedule to spend with us, and I would love to see her again.

A story about bookish

We met at a breakfast get-together for some Bay Area local 43-thingers. Except that she’s not local. She was kind enough to drop in on the way to a wedding.

I found her…how do you summarize someone who’s uncatchable with just a phrase? Energetic, certainly. Intelligent, kind. Very thoughtful. Erudite….she must be a writer. And dozens of dozens of stories; she tells them like a storyteller. I could just imagine paying a visit to India.

It was a pleasure, bookish.

A story about A Girl in the Curl

I met her at the SF meet up at Ti couz back in July… The one word that first comes to mind to describe AGintheC is ENERGY. She is an energetic person, who tells stories about her life as an architect with such verve that one must just stop eating one’s crepe to listen to her!

A story about apteryx

Apteryx is an adventurous soul who, the last time I met him, was quite excited about trying out the concrete slides in the Castro… hey Apteryx, did you go? How were they?
